(Still thinking about improvements, but leaning away from PERL, especially since Tripd is up and down these months. New new idea is doing it in JavaScript. Basically almost no learning curve compared to the old new idea of Python with Copilot. Basically the same approach as used in other places of this website. That code has a moderately complicated data structure stored in a JS file that is loaded dynamically, but I can use the same approach with a much simpler (though much larger) data file that I can generate with a small and relatively simple dBase program and a batch file for the header and footer. All of the "operational steps" will be the same, but there's a potential drawback in handling so much data that way. I'm not too worried about my computers with unlimited data and powerful browsers, but it might put a significant strain on smartphones.)
