Status update: Several genAI failures. Did notice one interesting possibly diagnostic system about the dBase II version. When there are several authors with the same last name, it should ask about each of them, but it only asks for the first one before offering to add the author as new. I should check my ancient memories of the code, but it suggests that the index file is failing during the traversal to next matching author... But mostly I hope I can master at least one of the genAIs enough to make progress retiring all of the old code, one way or another. Also considering possible replacement apps.
